DRC customs on your OverlandingAfrica.com are relatively simple, and are much like customs in any West African country.
Safety precautions are still advised however to ensure that you are not detained or refused entry, and you should be 100% sure to meet customs requirements.
Cameras should be declared on arrival, as well as all money being brought into the country. Additional items like personal items or gifts will also need to be declared.
In addition to import rules there are also rules on items which can or cannot be exported out of the country. As a rule, it is better not to take money out of the country to neighbouring regions so make sure you spend or exchange your CFA Currency before leaving.
