A day-by-day breakdown of what to expect and where you'll be staying.
Day 1, Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
Leaving Johannesburg we leave directly towards the Greater Kruger National Park area, travelling through the lust Mpumalanga.
Day 2, Kruger National Park
Rising early this morning we enter the Kruger National Park to enjoy a full-day of game viewing. The abundance of wildlife presents us with opportunities for excellent sightings and the Kruger is also home to the famed members of Africa’s Big-5.
Day 3, Kruger National Park
The day will be spend exploring the Kruger National Park and spotting wildlife.
Day 4, Kruger National Park to Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary
Today we leave the Kruger National Park and cross the border into Swaziland where we will spend the next two nights. Experience the wonderful Swazi culture at one of the many markets or explore the Mlilwane Nature reserve on foot.
Day 5, Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary to St. Lucia Wetlands
Leaving Swaziland we re-enter South Africa and make our way down to the warm Indian Ocean coast. Our afternoon is spent exploring the Greater St Lucia Wetland park - which is also a UNESCO world heritage site. Weather depending we could spend some time on a boat cruise on the lagoon. The evening is spent enjoying a Zulu Culture experience.
Day 6, St. Lucia Wetlands to Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve
This morning we drive to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve for an adventurous game drive in open 4x4 vehicles. In the evening we will enjoy a sunset cruise.
Day 7, Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve to Durban
We make our way to the coastal city of Durban which is also known as a surfer's paradise!
Day 8, Durban to Drakensberg
From Durban we head inland to the majestic Drakensberg Mountain Range. the Drakensberg has always been favourite among hikers and nature lovers with various viewpoints and hiking trails. En route to Lesotho we pay a visit to the remarkable Mandela capture site as well as a visit to thundering Howick Falls.
Day 9, Drakensberg
A free day in this magnificent mountain region allows time to relax, take a day trip to Lesotho, mountain bike, Heritage site hike, rock climb or horse ride.
Day 10, Drakensberg to Malealea via (Golden Gate Highlands National Park)
It's a visually impressive drive up to the Lesotho Border. Lesoto is one of the highest countries in the world, with the entire country over being 1000m above sea level.
Day 11, Malealea
We spend the day in this landlocked country exploring the lifestyle of the Basotho and their ponies. We might go on a short pony trek in the mountains or a guided walk with one of the Basotho men telling us all about their culture and way of life.
Day 12, Malealea to
Returning to South Africa, we descend the mountains and take aim across the Great Karoo. Our overnight stop is set in the historic town of Graaff-Reinet, the fourth oldest town in the country.
Day 13, to Addo Elephant National Park
We then travel inland again to Addo Elephant National Park - home to one of the densest concentrations of African elephants on the continent and a park which boasts the 'Big 7'!
Day 14, Addo Elephant National Park
This morning we will spend time driving through the Addo Elephant National Park in our truck in search of the elephants and animals which reside in the park.
Day 15, Addo Elephant National Park to Tsitsikamma National Park
Before we leave Lesotho, first we are going to enjoy another game drive. After that we make our way down the Indian Ocean coast to the indigenous forests of Tsitsikamma. This famous area along the Garden route rewards visitors with spectacular scenery and bird watching.
Day 16, Tsitsikamma National Park
Our day is at leisure to explore all the optional activities on offer in this adventure village. From Tree top Canopy tours, Blackwater Tubing and Forest tours to the World's highest Bungee jump!
Day 17, Tsitsikamma National Park to Plettenberg Bay via (Plettenberg Bay)
While our morning is set
aside for an exploration of Nature’s Valley, this beautiful village offers us a chance to enjoy a hike or simply relax on the pristine beach in this
paradise. We end the afternoon on the beautiful beaches of the Keurbooms Lagoon. Today offers a number of optional activities
Day 18, Plettenberg Bay to Oudtshoorn
We take the scenic Outeniqua Pass into the Karoo and head to Oudtshoorn, famous for it's many Ostrich farms. In Oudtshoorn we will also visit the world-famous Cango Caves.
Day 19, Oudtshoorn to Stellenbosch
Leaving the ostrich capital behind us we drive a beautiful scenic route to Stellenbosch - one of the oldest and best preserved settlements in South Africa. Known today as the heart of the Cape Winelands, you might want to try out some of the delicious local wines and cheeses.
Day 20, Stellenbosch to Cape Town
Today we arrive in the 'Mother City' of Cape Town. So much to see and do with stunning scenery and numerous landmarks to keep you busy. Start with a trip up Table Mountain for awesome views of this beautiful city.
