Congo Airports

Congo airports include the two major international airports as well as number of smaller airports throughout the country, many of which have unpaved runways and very old rickety planes for regional travel.

Mostly airports are fairly well-organised, but can lack decent facilities and may be very basic. Travelers should remember that taking photographs of airports or other government buildings is not permitted, so keep the camera away until you are at a safe distance.

Airports in Congo

Airports in Congo which offer international flights include Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire airports. Both are fairly well-run compared to smaller rural airports, with paved runways and fair to basic facilities.

Brazzaville Airport
Brazzaville Airport is situated 4km northwest of the capital city. Facilities include basic shops and banks, and there is a bus service operating from the airport.

Pointe-Noire Airport
Pointe-Noire Airport is situated about 5.5km from the city of Pointe-Noire. Taxis are available to the city, and facilities are very basic but fairly well-maintained.
