Day 1, Livingstone

Our day is at leisure to explore the town of David Livingstone and experience some of the many activities.

Day 2, Livingstone

With a day full of adventure, be sure not to miss the Bungee from Victoria Falls bridge, World class White Water rafting or abseil down Batoka Gorge. For the less adventurous there is horse back safaris, elephant back safaris, and the ever popular 'Flight of the Angels'.

Day 3 to 4, Livingstone to Caprivi Strip

From Livingstone we enter the Caprivi Strip. A narrow strip of Namibian land extending between Zambia, Botswana and Zambia. We explore this remote region which hosts a variety of animal and bird species due to the proximity to many large rivers.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Caprivi_Strip_Namibia/3350837263_s.jpg

Day 5, Caprivi Strip to Rundu

Along the Kavango river we travel directly west. Local crafts and carvings are a common sight as we travel past villages with grass huts.

Day 6, Rundu to Etosha National Park

We arrive at Etosha National Park in the late afternoon. Etosha is Namibia's major nature reserve, covering over 22 000 square kilometres with a large variety of animal and bird species. The park is situated around the Etosha Pan, and has a network of gravel roads that enables us to get to far & remote areas of the park.

Day 7, Etosha National Park

A full day of game drives and waterhole viewing as we try to catch a glimpse of some of the plains game and Big 5 that reside in Etosha National Park.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Etosha_National_Park_Namibia_/2807829757_s.jpg

Day 8, Etosha National Park to Brandberg

From Etosha we travel south to the Ugab wilderness area where we find Brandberg (Burning Moutain). We explore the mountains and visit the White Lady rock painting.

Day 9, Brandberg to Spitzkoppe

We move south towards the huge granite domes of Spitzkoppe and travel through beautiful desert landscapes. Spitzkoppe has a mysterious feel and always reward with magnificent sunsets.

Day 10, Spitzkoppe to Swakopmund

Today we head for Swakopmund, an old German colony founded in 1892. Rest in the excellent coffee shops, restaurants & bars, browse the craft shops selling Namibian curios or check out the museum, aquarium or art galleries. Otherwise take a quiet walk along the beach and get ready for some adrenaline pumping activities!

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Swakopmund_Namibia_/2825011782_s.jpg

Day 11, Swakopmund

A leisure day today to get the feel of this quaint German town sandwiched between the edge of a massive dune field and the ocean. Take on some adventure activities or relax in a cafe on the beachfront.

Day 12, Swakopmund to Sesriem

Today we head south, past Walvis Bay enroute to Sesriem. Close by and surrounded by a sea of sand dunes, is Sossusvlei. The top of the dunes, some over 300m high, offers fantastic vies of the desert. We spend the afternoon exploring. One of the optional "must do's" is to walk in this area with the highly specialised local guides of Sossus on Foot who will have some amazing stories to tell. Tonight, a sunset view from the top of a big dune will prove to be one of your most memorable experiences.

Day 13, Sesriem to Sesriem (via Sossusvlei)

An early start as we enter into the park and head for Dune 45. Clamber to the top for a stunning high-point view over the dunes. We continue to Sossusvlei and from here you will have your own free time to explore the vlei or the surrounding area. Stunning photographic opportunities are available in the dunes so bring those cameras!!

Day 14, Sesriem to Windhoek

After watching the sunrise across this beautiful area we leave the serenity of the dunes and head north to Windhoek.

Day 15, Windhoek to Central Kalahari

We cross into Botswana and overnight in the heart of the Kalahari which is home to bushmen with fascinating bush survival skills.

Day 16, Central Kalahari to Maun

Further into Botswana we stop in Maun in preparation for our Okavang Delta Excursion.

Day 17, Okavango Delta

Today is a free day for you to spend at your leisure. The variety of optional activities range from game walks to swimming. Relax and take in the beauty of your surroundings.

Day 18, Okavango Delta

Early morning and late afternoon game walks give you time in the middle of the day to relax, chill out and enjoy your surroundings. Why don't you have a go at poling your own mokoro? It is not as easy as it looks!

Day 19, Okavango Delta to Makgadikgadi Pans

From the lushness of the Delta we travel east to the vastness of the Makgadikgadi Pans.

/images/flickr/Photo_of_Makgadikgadi_pans_Botswana_/2807980251_s.jpg
