A day-by-day breakdown of what to expect and where you'll be staying.


Classic Mozambique

Day 1, Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

After leaving bustling Johannesburg we head directly to the greater Kruger National Park. We stop in Dullstroom at Harries Pancakes. At the Kruger National Park we spend our time game driving.

 

Day 2, Kruger National Park

Game Drives and animal spotting take up our day with the odd stop for lunch or a swim if the weather allows.

Classic Mozambique

Day 3, Kruger National Park

We leave Kruger and head for one of the most stunning scenic spots in South Africa - the well named 'Panorama Route'. You can gaze at the awe inspiring Blyde River Canyon, God's Window and Bourke's Luck Potholes.

Day 4, Kruger National Park to Hlane Royal National Park

We make our way out of the Kruger National Park and onto Hlane Royal National Park in Swaziland. The Highveld gives way to Lowveld and to the bush land that wildlife love the most.

Day 5, Hlane Royal National Park

Be ready for the real Umphakatsi Swazi Experience. We are going to visit an authentic living homestead where you can engage with the residents and learn about their culture and traditions.

Day 6, Hlane Royal National Park to Maputo

Leaving the wilderness behind us, we are crossing the border and heading to the hustle and bustle of Mozambique's capital - Maputo. The afternoon we are exploring this historic African city.

Day 7, Maputo to Inhambane

From Maputo we drive to Inhambane, the old European settlement. Here the white sand beaches are waiting for you and the moment you step out the truck you can feel the laid back vibe hanging in the air. If that's not enough you will also be spoiled with a traditional Mozambique meal.

Day 8, Inhambane

A free day to enjoy some of the optional activities available. Try your hand at Scuba Diving, Quad Biking, Fishing, Horse Riding or take a Boat Cruise on the bay. If that sounds like too much work then just relax on the white sand beaches with a good book or your journal.

Day 9, Inhambane to Praia do Tofo

A free day to enjoy some of the optional activities available. Try your hand at Scuba Diving, Quad Biking, Fishing, Horse Riding or take a Boat Cruise on the bay. If that sounds like too much work then just relax on the white sand beaches with a good book or your journal.

Day 10, Inhambane to Vilanculos

After an Imhambane city tour we are leaving this paradise to travel further north through the beautiful coconut plantations to Vilanculos and prepare for our excursion to the Bazaruto Archipelago.

Day 11, Vilanculos to Bazaruto

We sail on a traditional Dhow to the stunning islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago where we can snorkel, swim and soak up the sun. Tropical waters and gorgeous coral and reef life make for a amazing day!

Day 12, Bazaruto to Maputo

Just north of Maputo lies Xai Xai, a bustling town with markets, shops, restaurants and bars.

Classic Mozambique

Day 13, Maputo to Nelspruit

Early risers can enjoy the sunrise on the beach this morning before we depart today. We pass through Maputo and continue to the border, returning to South Africa and our final night near the town Malelane.

Day 14, Nelspruit to Johannesburg

Our final road trip takes us back to Johannesburg as we reflect on the wildlife and beaches that have filled our days
