Camping Tours & Camping Safaris in Africa

Camping tours in Africa involve travelling by overland truck and making use of two man dome tents for accommodation in the various campsites along the way. Full participation is required when camping, and you will be expected to help out with meal preparation, as well as putting your tent up and taking it down.
As long as you have a sense of adventure, and do not mind getting involved with your fellow travellers then Africa camping tours can be fun even if you are 60+!

Budget Camping Safaris Africa

On our budget camping safaris in Africa you will spend most, if not all, nights in a big 2-man tent. All tents are waterproof, have sewn-in mosquito netting, built-in ground sheets and flysheets (the second layer that keeps the water out, and you dry).

Camping on your African Budget Safari

Campsites vary; one night you will find yourself in an oasis of lush green grass, with steaming hot showers, a crystal-clear swimming pool and a bar serving ice-cold drinks. The next you will find yourself in the middle of Africa with the only facility being a long-drop toilet (which is no more than just a hole in the ground). Occasionally you may even bush-camp, this means the crew find a suitable spot, pull off on the side of the road, and you find yourself in the African bush.

Never been camping in Africa?

For those of you who are new to camping, don’t worry; all tents are easy to erect, your friendly crew will give a demonstration and are around to help you out.
