Africa Camping Tours & Safaris in Africa

Going on an Africa camping tour is an active adventure of note. Ever day you'll be travelling by overland truck and when you reach the day's destination you'll be whipping out your new best friend - your two-man dome tent. After the third day camping in Africa you'll be putting that tent up like a pro, I tell you! When you're camping you're also required to lend a hand with a few things in the name of the budget camping safari you're experiencing. Those adventurous hands of yours will be needed with things like meal preparation, helping to keep the truck tidy, and of course, putting your tent up and taking it down. Over and over and over again.

Who are Africa Camping Tours for?

Everyone! As long as you have a sense of adventure, a sense of humour, and do not mind getting involved with your fellow travellers, then one of our budget camping safaris in Africa is just for you, even if you are 60+!

Africa Camping Tours

Africa camping tours see you doing exactly that - camping your way through Africa on a tour of wildlife spotting, sunset gazing and landscape watching. It's magical. Africa's magical! On our Africa budget camping safaris you'll spend every night in a big 2-man tent. Your new mobile hom is comletely waterproof, has sewn-in mosquito netting and built-in ground sheets and flysheets.

Campsites on Budget Camping Safaris in Africa

The campsites where you stay while on a camping trip in Africa varies. One night you will find yourself in an oasis of lush green grass, with steaming hot showers, a crystal-clear swimming pool and a bar serving ice-cold drinks. The next you will find yourself in the middle of Africa with the only facility being a long-drop toilet (which is no more than just a hole in the ground). Occasionally you may even bush-camp, this means the crew find a suitable spot, pull off on the side of the road, and you find yourself in the African wilderness. Take a torch with you if you need to go to the loo in the middle of the night. Trust me.

Never been camping in Africa?

No problem! Almost half of our clients haven't been either. For those of you who are new to camping, don’t worry; all tents are easy to set up and your friendly crew will give a demonstration on how to do it, and are around to help you out if you're all poles and no pegs.
