Decided what to pack for your Botswana safari is fairly simple, and should not take you too long or cause too much stress.
Clothing in Botswana is fairly casual and basic, and the most important items you will need are good, comfortable walking shoes, sandals, safari or neutral clothing for game drives, loose, lightweight long sleeved clothing for mosquito protection, swimming costume, a warm jacket for winter months and a sunhat as well as sunglasses.
Obviously your camera is essential to pack, plus spare film or memory cards, extra batteries and a charger. Binoculars are also highly recommended to spot game and birds.
You will need to pack a sleeping bag if you are overlanding across Botswana, and a camping mattress is also a good idea.
Towels for swimming and showering are also essential, and it is best to bring a few along to allow for them to dry or be washed in between use.
