Francistown does not have an abundance of wildlife but it is a popular, thriving town with plenty of shops and well stocked stores from which to get your supplies.

The main attraction in Francistown is the Makgadikgadi Pans. These pans attract flocks of pretty flamingoes which create a wonderful sea of pinks and purples. Watching the flamingoes is an amazing experience and is not one to be missed. There are many walking tours in the area and you may wish to follow one of the many historic trails. Bushmen trackers offer guided walks and information about the local area.
