A day-by-day breakdown of what to expect and where you'll be staying.
Day 1, Johannesburg to Khama Rhino Sanctuary
An early start and a long way to go as we depart Johannesburg and head north into Botswana. Passing through Serowe, birthplace of Botswana's first president, on our way to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary - home of white rhino, zebra and wildebeest. Our first game drive takes us around the Malema and Serwe Pans.
Day 2, Khama Rhino Sanctuary to Maun
Maun is our destination today as we prepare for the Okavango Delta excursion. Afterunpacking our gear we have a relaxing afternoon at the swimming pool.
Day 3, Maun to Okavango Delta
We take a 3 day / 2 night excursion into the Delta. You travel in local transport and then in mokoros, the local dug out canoes, which are poled by local guides through the winding waterways. These local canoes are a perfect way to navigate this waterway wonder - the biggest inland Delta in the world. Your guides will select a place out in the bush to set up camp. An afternoon game walk will allow you to experience the Delta wilderness in all its glory.
Day 4, Okavango Delta
Early morning and late afternoon game walks give you time in the middle of the day to relax, chill out and enjoy your surroundings. Why don't you have a go at poling your own mokoro? It is not as easy as it looks!
Day 5 to 7, Okavango Delta to Moremi Wildlife Reserve
Leaving the Okavango Delta behind us we continue to Moremi Wildlife Reserve where the wildlife and scenery is equally as stunning. The perfect spot for a wildlife sanctuary. No fences allows for unobstructed movement of game and the reserve is a paradise for birds, game and predators alike. Moremi’s scenery alone is sufficient reason to want to visit this Park.
Day 8, Moremi Wildlife Reserve to Maun
After another rewarding game drive we return to Maun in the early afternoon.
Day 9, Maun to Makgadikgadi Pans
We have time for an optional flight over the Delta before heading to the towards the town of Nata and the nearby Makgadikgadi Pans. Here we have the opportunity to watch beautiful sunsets over the shimmering endless salt pans.
Day 10, Makgadikgadi Pans to Chobe National Park
Travelling north we enter the Chobe National Park- famous for its herds of Elephant. We camp in the park and enjoy Africa at its best.
Day 11, Chobe National Park
With an early morning game drive we should spot some more game as they come out for a drink in the crisp, cool morning. After lunch we take a cruise on the Chobe River to spot some more of the world's largest mammals and some of the smallest bird species.
Day 12, Kasane to Livingstone
Our last 2 nights are spent near the Zambezi River and Mosi oa Tunya or 'the smoke that thunders' - Victoria Falls. Numerous optional activities keep us busy - white water raft on the mighty Zambezi River, Bungi Jump, or take a flight of angels to name a few.
Day 13, Livingstone
With a day full of adventure, be sure not to miss the Bungee from Victoria Falls bridge, World class White Water rafting or abseil down Batoka Gorge. For the less adventurous there is horse back safaris, elephant back safaris, and the ever popular 'Flight of the Angels'.
Day 14, Livingstone
Our tour comes to an end in this adventure town. Explore the town on foot, visit local craft markets or give the adrenaline levels a rush with one of the many activities on offer.
