Boat Cruises in Africa

Motorboat big game viewing in Africa, Kayaking on Lake Malawi, Mokoros on the Okavango Delta, Dhow sailing on the East Coast of Africa and Felucca trips down the Nile are all boat based experiences.

Big Game Cruises

Motorboat sunset cruises are available on most rivers in Africa to enhance your big game viewing experience. There is nothing like sipping on a cold local beer or sundowner, while floating down a river in the middle of the bush – with crocodiles on the banks, and hipping cooling off in the shallow waters.

Kyaking on Lake Malawi

Kayaking is also is an excellent way to explore the large rivers and oceans in Africa. Kayaking on Lake Malawi is must do for all recreational travellers.

Mokoros in the Okavango Delta

Mokoros are wooden dug out canoes, and are the primary form of travel in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, one of Africa's last true wetland wildernesses.

Dhow Safaris

Dhows are the traditional Arab sailboats of most countries on the east coast of Africa. Dhows are mostly made of wood and make for a very relaxing day out on the warm Indian Ocean.

Felucca down the Nile

One of the best ways to enjoy Aswan and the islands is to take a felucca, the ancient canvas-sailed boats of the Nile which have been cruising up and down the river for 4,000 years. A felucca trip is particularly exceptional just before sunset.
