Gallipoli and the Gallipoli Peninsula is a pilgrimage destination for the thousands who travel here every year to commemorate the ANZAC day memorial celebrations. Daily tours of the battlefields and graves operate from Çanakkale and Eceabat.
The area is steeped with mystery and the rock formations are said to be the conclusion of years of water and wind working together to create the outstanding landscapes. The cave houses and underground city date from 3000 BC and you can take trips through the underground city when you visit the area.
