A day-by-day breakdown of what to expect and where you'll be staying.

Day 1, Johannesburg to Blyde River Canyon (via Pilgrims Rest)

Picturesque Mpumalunga awaits and on the way we stop off in the historic gold mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest and visit the beautiful Bourke’s Luck Potholes.

Day 2, Kruger National Park

Game Drives and animal spotting take up our day with the odd stop for lunch or a swim if the weather allows.

Day 3, Kruger National Park to Malolotja Nature Reserve

From the Kruger National Park we travel to Swaziland's Malolotja Reserve where we explore the area on foot and enjoy the rare birdlife, mountainous scenery and the Malolotja waterfall.

Day 4 to 5, Malolotja Nature Reserve to Mkuze Game Reserve

Re-entering South Africa we travel to the Zululand region where a visit to the Mkuze Game Reserve awards us with splendid views and possible sights of the Endangered Black Rhino.

Day 6, Mkuze Game Reserve to Drakensberg

We move further south to the Drakensberg region. Spending time here allows us time for walking along beautiful mountain stream paths, enjoying spectacular views and looking for Bushman rock paintings.

Day 7, Drakensberg

A free day in this magnificent mountain region allows time to relax, take a day trip to Lesotho, mountain bike, Heritage site hike, rock climb or horse ride.

Day 8, Drakensberg to Malealea (via Golden Gate Highlands National Park)

En route to Lesotho we travel through the Golden Gate Highlands area with its majestic towering sandstone cliffs and make several stops at quaint villages and towns on the way. Crossing the border we are welcomed by the 'Moutnian Kingdom' of Swaziland. 

Day 9, Malealea

We spend the day in this landlocked country exploring the lifestyle of the Basotho and their ponies. We might go on a short pony trek in the mountains or a guided walk with one of the Basotho men telling us all about their culture and way of life.

Day 10 to 11, Malealea to Addo Elephant National Park

As we descend from the Lesotho Highlands we enter the great Karoo which is a semi desert area and covers most of central South Africa. The Karoo area is famous for ostrich and sheep farming industries and roadside stalls selling interesting mini farm implements. We make our way to the Addo Elephant National Park where we spend a day game driving and searching for the famous Big 5.

Day 12, Addo Elephant National Park to Tsitsikamma National Park

We make our way down the Indian Ocean coast to the indigenous forests of Tsitsikamma. This famous area along the Garden route rewards visitors with spectacular scenery and bird watching.

Day 13, Tsitsikamma National Park

Our day is at leisure to explore all the optional activities on offer in this adventure village. From Tree top Canopy tours, Blackwater Tubing and Forest tours to the World's highest Bungee jump!   

Day 14, Tsitsikamma National Park to Cape Town (via Stellenbosch)

Along the Garden route we visit Knysna and make our way down to Cape Town. As we pass through the ever famous winelands of Franschoek and Stellenbosch we get the opportunity for some wine tasting and cellar tours.

Day 15, Cape Town

Enjoy the 'Mother City' at leisure today. With so much to see and do it would be worth getting out early and making the most of it!

Day 16, Cape Town

Your tour ends this morning after breakfast. Make sure to spend a few extra days exploring this cosmopolitan city - the Mother City of South Africa.
