Picturesque Mpumalunga awaits and on the way we stop off in the historic gold mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest and visit the beautiful Bourke’s Luck Potholes.
Day 2, Kruger National Park
Game Drives and animal spotting take up our day with the odd stop for lunch or a swim if the weather allows.
Day 3, Kruger National Park to Malolotja Nature Reserve
From the Kruger National Park we travel to Swaziland's Malolotja Reserve where we explore the area on foot and enjoy the rare birdlife, mountainous scenery and the Malolotja waterfall.
Day 4 to 5, Malolotja Nature Reserve to Mkuze Game Reserve
Re-entering South Africa we travel to the Zululand region where a visit to the Mkuze Game Reserve awards us with splendid views and possible sights of the Endangered Black Rhino.
Day 6, Mkuze Game Reserve to Drakensberg
We move further south to the Drakensberg region. Spending time here allows us time for walking along beautiful mountain stream paths, enjoying spectacular views and looking for Bushman rock paintings.
Day 7, Drakensberg
A free day in this magnificent mountain region allows time to relax, take a day trip to Lesotho, mountain bike, Heritage site hike, rock climb or horse ride.
Day 8, Drakensberg to Malealea (via Golden Gate Highlands National Park)
En route to Lesotho we travel through the Golden Gate Highlands area with its majestic towering sandstone cliffs and make several stops at quaint villages and towns on the way. Crossing the border we are welcomed by the 'Moutnian Kingdom' of Swaziland.
Day 9, Malealea
We spend the day in this landlocked country exploring the lifestyle of the Basotho and their ponies. We might go on a short pony trek in the mountains or a guided walk with one of the Basotho men telling us all about their culture and way of life.

As we descend from the Lesotho Highlands we enter the great Karoo which is a semi desert area and covers most of central South Africa. The trip really was amazing! I got on well with everyone in the group and we saw so much it was unbelievable. There really is no place like Kruger, but i was also absolutely loving...
