Visas for Angola are fairly straightforward and simple to arrange. Ordinary travel visas take approximately seven days to process and are valid for 90 days.
Applicants need to submit their applications as well as a copy of their ID, passport, photographs, letter of invitation from a company, organisation or individual they are visiting in Angola, and US residents need to submit a copy of their green card. Travel itineraries are also expected, as well as a certified check for $110.00 and proof of sustenance during the stay in Angola ($100 or more).
Angola visas will need to be obtained before arriving in the country, and it is not possible to arrange a visa from within the country.
Travellers will also usually need a yellow fever inoculation certificate, which must be valid and no more than 10 years old. This may not be required on the Namibia / Angola border, however it is highly advised as a precaution to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
