Vaccinations For Angola

Vaccinations for Angola are essential to ensure health and safety in the region, and prevent the spread of any diseases that may be present in both Angola and your country of origin.

Hepatitis A, B and E, typhoid, yellow fever and meningococcus shots are recommended for all travellers to Angola.

One-time Polio boosters are recommended for any adult traveler who completed the childhood series but has never had a polio vaccine as an adult.

For travelers spending a lot of time outdoors, or at high risk for animal bites, or involved in any activities that might bring them into direct contact with bats then a rabies shot is required.

Two doses are recommended for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR vaccine) for all travelers born after 1956, if not previously given.

A tetanus-diphtheria re-vaccination is recommended every 10 years if travelling on a frequent basis.

Vaccine certificates for many diseases, in particular yellow fever, are required when entering Angola, and travellers without these papers may be refused entry.
