Angola 2010 World Cup

While South Africa is host to the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Angola will be hosting the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations, which is part of the World Cup Qualifier games.

If Angola win or place high in the Africa Cup of Nations as well as the World Cup Qualifiers, they will be eligible to play in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Previous years qualifying for Wold Cup Games have been the last games in 2006.

Angola is a strong African soccer country, and has placed high in run-up games to the Africa Cup of Nations, earning them their host position.

The Angolan team is known as Palancas Negras and their coach is Luis Oliveira Goncalves. Current top players who will be playing in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup Qualifiers include Joao Ricardo, Marcos Airosa, Joao Jamba, Antonio Lebo Lebo, Carlos Kali, Marcos Miloy, Paulo Figueiredo, Andre Macanga, Pedro Manuel Mantorras and Fabrice Akwa.
