Accommodated Tours Africa

Traditionally a camping experience, the Africa overland travel concept has evolved into offering budget accommodated overland tours in Africa.

Budget Accommodated Overland Tours Africa

Our budget accommodated overland tours in Africa have a far more varied style accommodation than on the camping departures. Our accommodated overland tours make use of hotels, hostels, chalets, bungalows, permanent safari tents and sometimes even traditional huts. We have chosen our accommodation options carefully; these are not luxurious accommodations and offer a more comfortable option to the adventure traveller.

Southern Africa Budget Accommodated Tours

Accommodation is basic, and the accommodated tours in Africa are a one-step upgrade from the camping tours. Most of the accommodation on your overland tour will be twin share in Southern Africa, if there is space you may ask for a single option, but chances are very limited. Our budget accommodation choices on tour have bedding - sleeping bags are not required.

East Africa Budget Accommodated Tours

In East Africa accommodation is shared 3-4 per chalet bungalow. Upgrades to twin accommodation in East Africa are cheap and usually fairly easy to arrange with the accommodation provider on arrival - depending on availability. In East Africa sleeping bags are still required on the accommodated tours as not all facilities provide bedding. Not all the accommodation used is en-suite, some accommodation has shared bathroom facilities. En-suite bathrooms are limited and usually you will be sharing with the other members of your group.
