Abu Simbel Day Trip

One of many temples built by the great Pharaoh Ramses II, Abu Simbel is different in that half of it is dedicated to his favourite wife Nefertari – something unheard of in ancient times!

An Abu Simbel Day Trip is an absolute must-do part of any trip to Aswan or Egypt.

The 2 glorious temples standing side by side, (apparently attempting to intimidate ancient Egypt’s southern enemies), now rest on the shores of Lake Nasser after a massive relocation effort in the 1960’s.

As famous for its relocation and restoration as it is for the size and grandeur of its statues, Abu Simbel is well worth the early morning wake up call required to get there.

Why do the Abu Simbel Day Trip?

2 glorious temples
Ramses II and Nefertari
Shores of Lake Nasser
A must-do experience!
